Medical massage is outcome-based massage, primarily the application of a specific treatment targeted to the specific problem with which the patient presents. A thorough assessment/evaluation by the medical massage therapist is performed and specific outcomes from the treatment are selected. Therapist may use a variety of these techniques (at the therapist discretion): cupping, trigger point, hot stones, stretching, hand tools, cold packs, and positional release techniques. Most of these techniques are at an additional cost when added to other services.

Cupping Massage

Cupping is a form of massage therapy which decompresses soft tissues using vacuum suction, unlike other forms of massage that compresses soft tissues. During cupping, the cup gently draws in your skin and lifts underlying soft tissue into the cup. Cupping can help reduce painful trigger points improve blood and lymph circulation, relieve pain, promote mobility, and range of motion.

Lymphedema Treatment

The treatment of lymphedema is known as Complete (Complex) Decongestive Therapy or CDT. CDT has two phase. Phase I of treatment involves decongestion of swelling through the use of Manual Lymphatic Drainage and short stretch bandage applications. Once the swelling is removed the patient is then is fitted for the appropriate compression garments. Phase II is the part of treatment where the patient transitions from therapist care to selfcare management, this includes use of compression garments, self MLD, pneumatic compression pump, exercise, and good skin care. Lymphedema, if left untreated or poorly managed, can lead to a range of complications. One of the most common risks is recurrent infections, such as cellulitis or lymphangitis. Over time, lymphedema can cause the skin to become thickened, hardened, or discolored — a condition known as fibrosis. The affected limb may feel heavy, tight, leading to reduced mobility and function. Chronic swelling can also contribute to wound-healing issues, increasing the risk of ulcers and delayed recovery after injury or surgery. Beyond the physical health effects, lymphedema often causes emotional distress, anxiety, and reduced self-esteem. Early diagnosis and proper treatment are key to avoid these complications and improving long-term outcomes.
Trigger Point Therapy

Trigger points or muscle "knots" are sensitive spots in soft tissue. Trigger point therapy mostly consists of rubbing and pressing on trigger points, which can feel like an amazing relief.

Stretching/Sports Massage

Sports/Stretching massage works to reduce potential injury, increase overall flexibility, and relieve muscle fatigue. Different techniques can be used from stretching to the break down of scar tissue to increase range of motion.

Myofascial Therapeutic Massage

Myofascial release is a soft tissue therapy used to treat deep muscular tension, somatic dysfunction, and pain by relaxing the fascia (the fibrous bands around muscles, ligaments, and tendons). The technique requires very firm pressure that stretches and elongates deep muscle tissue, increasing range of motion and circulation.

Pre-natal Massage
60 minute -- $85
Pre-natal massage is specifically tailored for the expectant mother's needs. The mother's body must be properly positioned and supported during the massage, with pillows and padding. To ensures comfort and safety for the mother and baby. Pre-natal massage helps reduce stress, decrease swelling, and relieve aches and pains caused by the growing belly.

We offer all of our treatments in in-home massage session. Visits to a clients home consist of a minimum of one hour session. The massage table, sheets, lotion, and music are brought to the home and set up by the therapist. A stool or chair will need to be available for the therapist. **Prices vary on length of treatment and distance from our office.**

Hot Stone Massage

A full body hot stone massage with swedish or deep tissue is used to help you relax, ease tense muscles and damaged soft tissues throughout the body. The heat from the stones helps dilate blood vessels to increase circulation for promoting healing.
